Financial Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

GA TeleMed is committed to providing transparent pricing and clear financial policies. Please review this policy carefully before receiving services.

Payment Responsibility

Patients are responsible for all charges associated with services provided by GA TeleMed unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

Accepted Forms of Payment

  • Major Credit Cards
  • Debit Cards
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) Cards (where applicable)
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Cards (where applicable)

Self-Pay Services

GA TeleMed primarily operates on a self-pay basis. The following fees are provided for informational purposes and may be updated periodically.

Note: Laboratory testing, medications, and pharmacy charges are not included in consultation fees unless specifically stated.

Insurance

Patients are responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and coverage. Submission of insurance claims, if offered, does not guarantee payment by an insurance carrier. Any balance not paid by insurance becomes the responsibility of the patient.

Prescription Costs

Consultation fees do not include the cost of medications, laboratory testing, imaging studies, or services provided by third parties. These expenses are the patient’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.

Laboratory Testing

If laboratory testing is ordered, charges from independent laboratories are separate from fees charged by GA TeleMed. Patients may receive bills directly from the laboratory.

Missed Appointments

Appointments that are missed without notice may be subject to a missed appointment fee.

Cancellation Policy

To avoid cancellation charges, patients should cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Refund Policy

Professional services already rendered are generally non-refundable. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Collections

Accounts with unpaid balances may be subject to collection efforts as permitted by law. Patients remain responsible for outstanding balances, collection costs, and allowable fees.

Good Faith Estimate

Uninsured or self-pay patients may have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges under applicable federal law. Patients may request an estimate before receiving services.
